Dielectric mirrors offer near-total reflection, minimizing losses in nearly all optical systems. These coatings are very durable, easily cleaned, and resistant to laser damage.

Dielectric mirrors are composed of multiple layers of different transparent optical materials, characterized by high reflectivity, high damage threshold, and low scattering. They are widely used in medical imaging, laser systems, aerospace, and other fields.
